Wood burning stove fiasco

I doubt the requirements are that much different for ventilation. My wood stove has air intake flaps on the front which are opened manually. Of all the wood stoves I've seen, I've never seen one with a DRYER HOSE hooked up to it!
I have never seen any install using something like that. Something doesn’t seem right for sure.

I’m not sure what the dryer hose is for? I have a pretty simple Pacific Energy Super 27 wood stove and it’s a basic design with a sliding damper for air intake in the front beneath the glass. I’ve just never seen any kind of air intake like that

That's what I'm thinking... what's the dryer hose even for and where is it even connected??

Your guess is as good as mine. I've only ever had a fireplace so this is all greek to me.

Is your outside chimney similar to this?

Either way make sure you’re 100% satisfied that it’s done right and meets all codes. You don’t want to be worrying about it later on instead of enjoying it.
That’s a nice stove by the way! 👍
Thank you very much. I will let you all know if I hear anything. My guess is that when he calls they will send someone out to inspect the install to verify the problem before fixing it. The manual says that the outside air vent kit is what should be where that dryer hose is. It doesnt really tell me any more than that. It hooks up underneath the blower fan

Oh it’s gotta a blower. Yeah all the stoves are different and they keep changing.
Good luck with everything. I’m sure someone else will be along that knows a little more than me about it all too.
