Wooden feeder box?

Ok, I was trying to figure out my feeder. I was thinking of having one wide thin feeder along one side that is just a wooden wall with another board about 4 inches away, parallel to it up about two inches from the bottom, with a small two inch catch to prevent the feed from pouring out.

Would this work? Or would the feed get stuck somewhere?

Look under feeders and waterers. Someone had a post with pics there just a few days ago. You about described it to a T. Good Luck

Sounds like you are thinking about some sort of a gravity feeder. I couldn't find a good picture with it open but go to the co-op and look at a gravity dog feeder like this:

If the door wasn't there, you'd see exactly what I'm talking about.
