For the record, that is a wood tick, not a deer tick, and doesn't carry lyme disease. I'm in WI, have a Woods coop, have wood ticks and deer ticks, have had lyme disease. We have some things in common :)
That is good news! Sorry about the lyme disease. But yeah, I guess we do have a bit in common haha. I'm trying to get my walls up and roof on before the rain this weekend, hopefully i can make it 🤞

I was going to post that it looked too big to be a deer tick to me ... but it's hard to see scale. Those deer ticks are nasty suckers that are super tiny. They look like a tiny speck without using magnifications. Took as many as 7 of them off my toddler in one day.

Well done! A bit of work is it not?

Remind me: how big, are you happy, run?
Hey Ted! Glad to see you still following the thread. Thank you! Yes, I have realized that building is always going to take about 1.5x the time you think it will take, if it goes smoothly. Can be 3x as much if you don't foresee potential problems! I have learned quite a bit for sure.

It's about 11ft tall total. 6x10 outside, haven't measured exactly what it's like on inside yet.
Back and front walls are almost exactly the same as Woods' measurements as indicated in the book.

I am very happy, hands are tired. The chickens are happy underneath, I'm going to get one more internal paint coat done today and I have some old really nice cedar tongue and groove siding I got from my neighbor I am cleaning up by sanding and going to stain.

Run building pieces are all accounted for, just need to build this week, not looking forward to working with hardware cloth/chicken wire again but hey what can ya do. They'll be safe and that's what matters.
