Awww, I"m so sorry, Adriennesmom!
I'm thinking Mille Fleur d'Uccle since you mentioned puffy cheeks. I just remembered I had 2 a while back & they looked a lot like your little chick, even the partial lacing in the wing feathers as chicks.Ahhh well see there...I looked at a book and I could only see 3 toes so I thought I had it narrowed down. Both of those breeds are beautiful to me so it's a win, win.
Love that columbian pattern around the neck! I also love the lacing though![]()
YES, thank you for saying that! It does have a muff on each side of it's cheeks and like a beard under it's beak. I looked at the Belgian d'Anver and d'Uccle too. Noticed the lack of feathering on the d'Anver and kicked that one out of the mix.
Funny you should say that as I was looking at my silkies feet today and rubbing them. I noticed that some have larger feet than others...could they be BOYS???![]()
That's usually what I look for...lolSilkies are extremely hard to sex, it depends on the age. Most say they can't be sexed until they crow or lay and egg.
