Worming a mixed flock? Need some input...

My vet suggested maybe a group of us might want to buy a liter of the Aquasol and split it up? This is a very concentrated version. I won't need very much and wouldn't use the whole thing in a year (or three) for my small flock...

I purchase Safeguard for goats suspension10% to worm all my birds here, it cost 425 dollars( 3785ML) in a gallon at Jeffers ........a huge savings compared to the 125 ML bottles for 20 dollars at tractor supply

Jeffers also has Valbazen suspension 500ml for $43.00 and its water soluble.

Vet finally heard back from distributor. Ouch. Even with a really substantial discount to me, the 1 liter (that's the liter, not the gallon) would cost upwards of $300. I suspect that's because of the high concentration (it's actually 20% fenbendazole, so extremely concentrated) and then they have to recoup their fancy new technology for making it water soluble, right? So it's out of my price range at the moment, given my small number of peas. It's more realistic for someone with a larger flock, though. I haven't tried to do the math, but I bet the cost per bird would actually be pretty reasonable when you figure how much there is in the bottle.

That is what I did, got the gallon from my vet for just a little over $400. Good through 2018, even at that I may not use it all up in time as now I need less because of doing the home fecal exams.

This just makes me feel better about being a vet because I'll be able to buy it directly if it doesn't go out to the public. How many breeding peafowl do you have? Originally I hoped to own 126 breeding peafowl but it will be less because after doing more research and talking to others about breeding Green peafowl is hens don't get a long and it's best to keep Greens in pairs so I will probably have 123 breeding peafowl in the future.

About 40 breeding age peafowl in seven pens, then the project birds, around 30, and the growout pen with another 25 or less that are waiting for new homes. We also have a **** load of chickens and guineas to worm as well.

What is easy to overlook is the amount of pen space, brooder coops, and equipment needed for a large breeding operation.

Right now, I'm just trying to picture how much time per day it would take to care for either set of these birds -- it's making my head hurt just thinking about it. Much as I love them, I'm definitely daunted at the prospect of caring for that many. My hat's off to both of you.
