ok so i was thinking about keep my pekin drake with 3-4 female ducks (my khaki hen, my rouen hen, and adopting a couple more)

then instead of rehoming my khaki campbell boy, someone gave my the idea of keeping him in a pen where he cannot see the girls or my other drake, and getting him another drake friend (that way i get to keep my baby and rescue a duck!)

does that sound like a good plan?

Sometimes drake flocks work, and sometimes they fight and try to breed one another.

They still can hear each other and sometimes Drakes will pace nonstop even when they can't see the other Ducks. Drake on Drake breeding happens and aggressive behaviour.

we will make them a see no touch pen if they need one, we are planning to introduce them this fall when there is less mating so less aggression
