I had to move my chick brooder to under the back porch so they wouldn't get wet.

This means cleaning the coop on Saturday, it will be a MESS.

KCBS was all a buzz about the 3 storms coming at us over the next week. One after another for a LOT of rain and a bunch of snow in the mountains (which will be good since we're on year 3 of a drought).

Tomorrow I batten down the hatches (and I have no idea what that means!!!)

LOL!!! Batten down the hatches comes from the way back machine. It is when they had to tie their windows shut when it stormed.

It started out nautical, but was quickly used throughout the stormiest parts of the US way back in day when streets were dirt and sidewalks were wooden planks.

ETA: I was trying to keep the answer short. I could probably tell you how it all went down. My son is the BIGGEST history buff on this planet and I have learned a boatload of information from him.

I wonder if we'll get anything at all,, we've had more snow days than we have had in over 30 years, but it melts off fast. We still have snow on the mountain peaks that is 6 weeks old, that is unheard of here!
