Quote:
Life is not cruel. Life happens. Life may travel smoothly for a while and suddenly veer in an unwanted direction, but it is simply Life. And Life, from first breath to last, is a gift.

It is our ‘humanness’ -- both a curse and a blessing.-- that that can be cruel. Our humanness allows us to feel loss so deeply, to find such anguish and hurt inside, to cry, ‘why me!” in pain when Life happens. It is also our humanness that allows us to feel love, build deep connections of heart and spirit, see joy in all things big and small, and hold dear that precious token we call memory.

And Life goes on. . . ever more precious than before.

That is beautiful!

For me, writing is therapeutic. I need to write to settle feelings in time of distress. Someone read a poem of mine and shared her grief at what she was going through. The quote was from my letter in response to her. She sounded very depressed. She said life was cruel. If Life is cruel then suicide sounds like an option. To me Life is precious at all times.

Oh sometimes I do feel like life is ever so cruel. I can come up with some ... interestingly dark stuff. Sooner or later I come around and do something that actually makes me laugh, but sometimes I haven't got the motivation to do anything else.

Merry Christmas fellow writers and I hope everyone got good writer-ly gifts! I got an assignment! I will be writing a bit for a doggie magazine I love concerning and activity I love too! More information as it grows and becomes a good article.

Congrats! That's awesome!

I'm supposed to get together sometime in the near future with a friend who also enjoys writing to write with her. Sometimes it's easier when you are sitting around with another person to just share ideas and then let the words flow! I've been so busy since graduation though and haven't had much time for myself. Hopefully, once I start my new job I will have a bit of down time and will get to do more writing and artwork!

When I am in the planning stage I like to write alone, once I have it going I love to bounce ideas off of my group. Some are the other way around, but however it works for you go with it!
