Wyoming Unite!!!!

The wind came up and the yellow roses are merely petals on the ground.

The are so beautiful when they bloom. It's just a shame that the blooms don't last all summer. Bob's roses were 2 weeks late blooming this year but they were pretty. Unfortunately the petals are all on the ground now here too. :(

The J.P. Connell Rose starts out yellow and fades to ivory once the sun hits it. These are the same rose. The first picture is from before it was completely open and had not been in the sunshine yet.

All of these roses are from the Canada Rose collection. They are all cold hardy and will survive a Wyoming winter without any special protection. They are all on their own roots so if the above ground portion does freeze back, the same rose will come back from the roots.

That is why I like the ever bloomers like the Campfire, John Davis and Emily Carr. Once they start blooming they keep on blooming right up until they frost.

My J.P. Connell, Prairie Joy and Morden Sunrise don't bloom as continuously but at least they are repeat bloomers.

While I was mowing the weeds in the corral this morning, the doe came back and was watching me with her twin fawns. Unfortunately they were not very cooperative once I got the camera out.
