Yay! A nice family came and picked up our 3 bantam roosters! This means I can replace them with 6 hens of some kind right? Right? That is chicken math!
 
I just got 3 more hens today and need to place my 2 RIR roosters with someone.... anyone?

They are happily in isolation. Our Tom, Hanks, will be very happy in a couple of weeks.


And we were happy owners of a new heifer for about 5 minutes. I was trying to unload her when she bolted, jumped off the truck, pretty much ran over GAM and got away. There's a tiny chance of her ending up at someone's house who knows she's ours but I'm not holding my breath.

OH MY WORD! I hope you get your cow back! That never dawned on me as a possibility.... a cow running away. I guess it should have. So um.... next time get a cow collar with your phone number on it's bell?

HOLY...well,...COW!!!! I do hope your cow comes back or is found fast! She's absolutely beautiful, but she sure is feisty!
 
Hello and welcome to our new folks, and @Flowerbh and @Rocky Rhodes -LOVE the new Eighties chicks, lol! That's what polish remind me off with their "big hair"!

I wish this heat would wasn't quite so intense; I mean I'm thankful we aren't having freezing weather, but I would like to not melt. I had a nice visit with Robo, GAM, and their Jr. farm hand, but I would have been more entertaining if I hadn't been a puddle :/ .I'd say I can't wait for fall, but that's only two weeks worth of nice weather before we freeze again.
