So I am pretty sure my biggest cornish rock laid its first egg yesterday. It was the biggest chicken egg I have ever seen about 3x the size of the RR that started laying week before last. She did not manage to get into the nice new boxes I built for her so it cracked. I ended up boiling, chopping, and feeding it back to them.

Even though I lost the first egg this means I can breed her with the Australorp cock that has been mounting her. I am kind of excited. I wonder what the crosses are going to look like.

Well yesterday was very hard. Taking my baby girl to the airport for a one way flight. Uggggg I fell apart and cried all the way home. Doing a little better today. Now I have to find a forever home for her two ducks that won't make a dinner out of them :hit
