Pam I want to go in the morning and leave by 2-3pm. If I remember right it's a little drive up that way. I don't know where Lookout Mountain is relative to Ellijay but if it's on the way or just past then it sounds doable for you. I will be bringing my mom in her wheelchair because I can't leave her alone. It will be a good outing for us, I think? I hope the fairgrounds has decent ground to push a wheelchair on. I found it hard in Calhoun with her in the wheelchair as the gravel just ate her wheelchair up and she sunk in. LOL Let me know if you think you can come so we can arrange to meet somewhere in Ellijay or at the farm.

When I say Farm I mean Paula's farm aka Hendersons. She'll have to give us her address too. There is a winery up there I might check out...just supporting local businesses you know, hahahaha

Hey Cindy! Yes, Monroe GA on 10/20/12. Judging starts at 9:00 am but I don't see an end time but usually runs through the afternoon. The address is 901 Broad St. I have never been to this one so I have no idea what this one is like but I was thinking about going.

Dog gone it that's the weekend we are headed to VA to attend parent weekend at Liberty University and see our son. That would have been so cool to have gone and meet another Georgian. Thanks for sharing the info and I hope some others on here will be able to attend. Have fun!!!

Hello Georgian from middle georgia I have 7 American BBS orpingtons for sale $50.00 they are 8 weeks old...Looks like 4 are roo's and 3 pullets at the time.....

The ones for sell are the biggest seven.....
 
Just a reminder to anyone in the south west Ga area. Bennets feed n seed in Cairo, Ga, is having their monthly swap tomorrow. They have a swap every first saturday. I not work working, so I'll be there :D

Im bringing chicks that range from 10 weeks- 4 months, dont think I have any adults right now.
 
Hey everyone, I live here in south central Georgia in Cairo. Didn't realize there was this much on BYC, hadn't really had the time to check out the site till now. On the injured list, fell in the chicken yard and really bummed up the leg. Doc says I'll be down off my feet and leg in the air except to get a drink or you know what. So here I am with my laptop propped up on the chair arm and time to kill. So I am discovering all kinds of new things, like I had no idea they had a swap right here in Cairo, so cool! I just started raising my own chickens this spring, hadn't really done anything with chickens for about 30 years, since I was a kid in the country in Northern Ohio. Hope to get to know ya'll!
