This little guy died today I've been hand feeding and giving electrolytes in his water, but he just didn't make it. I've seen worst cases of cross beaks on here- and they do fine. I dunno.

Sorry about your loss, wombat. I lost ALL my silkies last year, and nothing I did kept them from keeling over. It's the feeling of helplessness that hurts the most, I think.

David Bowie that's an awesome name!!! Sorry you have to rehome him but I understand you just can't keep him with your game cock.

He's an awesome rooster, too! Very vocal, very friendly, funny and sweet. The dominant rooster is a show bantam, and maybe a whopping 2lbs after a rainstorm, but he's still a game cock, so he's a fighter. I'd like to prevent the fighting.

I'll have to get the pics up tomorrow after work. The white ones looked so dirty this afternoon. They were all having a blast playing in the freshly plowed dirt in the field by the house. I just watched them and laughed at them. That was the first time that my husband had plowed close enough to the pen where I was comfortable to let them out to play. They loved it. I stayed out there with them and was beginning to wonder if we were going to spend the night in the field. lol.

How much fun for them and you. They thought they were at the ChickSter Fair

I may be able to do the 13th or 14th let me check. My hubs works on the 13th but has the 14th off. I wrote everything down and it sounds like a blast.
