:barnieThe ducklings that were a week behind my other 2 started hatching yesterday and while I was gone made its way half out of the shell. We were all excited while watching it until my daughter noticed that the yolk sac is still outside of the duckling. I don't remember where I saw this but I got a wet rag and wrapped the duck and the egg in an upright position in a little cup and placed it back in incubator. Is that what I do???

yep, cup is good, but dry soft paper towel would work too. Moist in the bottom so it doesn't stick, but be careful with the wet towel that the duckling doesn't get a chill.

If it's possible to put the duckling's butt back in the egg, then sit it in the cup, that's the safest. Skip the damp towel. Just cushion around it with dry towel.

So this is how much of the yolk there is.... I got rid of the damp rag, but we have no paper towels :(
So I have the egg and the duck propped up in a cup. It looks uncomfortable :hit
