My DS has always had diesels, but never plugged them in TMK. The trucks had “glow plugs” I think.

Glow plugs are in all diesels. But they aren’t enough up here.

My dad always had a Rambler or 10. He also had a Doodle Bug, that was fun.

My grandma had a Rambler in the 1960's. The speedometer, instead of being circular, was linear, with a red horizontal line that would increase in length as speed increased. You could set it so a buzzer would sound if you reached a certain speed. She turned that way up so she wouldn't have to hear it.

Wow! I do remember a horizontal speedometer now that you mention it. I don’t believe I would have ever remembered it though. Also I don’t ever recall seeing the red line.
