⬆️ Bush beans are in! I will plant the second bed in 2 weeks for succession planting.

⬆️ German Johnson tomatoes at bottom, Roma (plum) tomatoes at top, marigolds on the west side. Replanted lettuce that didn't germinate in middle right area.

⬆️ Planted borage between Summer squash plants, they're supposedly good companions!

We didn't get much rain last week, none in the forecast for this week, and highs in the 80s. Guess I will be watering.

I gave up on my purple coneflower and new england aster pots. I planted luffa and marigolds in them. And now I think I see a lone little new england aster coming up. Not sure, but if it is, the marigolds will be evicted.
Marigolds are tough, move them anywhere.

Finally got the tomatoes in the ground. 55 plants in all. Now to get a T post driven into the ground every 5 plants to support the trellis that keeps them upright and not on the ground. 5 varieties growing to see which will do the best here. This is a first time under these conditions and the type of soil. If all goes well we will be able to can a 2 year supply this fall with some help from a daughter. Mustard greens didn't germinate. Old seed. Not sure about the carrots but I think I can see them with the radishes marking the rows.
