I'm getting 16 more chicks of various breeds, 4 pilgrim geese, and hopefully another puppy. I may or may not hatch a few more bantams, and mixed breed standards depending on how things go next year.

That's the plan. Whether I stick to it or not is the question.

The cabinet incubator looks like a fun project...especially if it means more chicks!

Just think having that extra space will give you more room for all those extra you will be hatching

Exactly.
I only have about 25 birds in my 12 x 12 main coop right now, and quite a few of those are bantams, so I will have plenty of space for the upcoming deluge of chicks once I finish butchering the old birds in spring.

I'd like a few more breeding pens so I can eliminate the random mixes I'm getting from my Peaches. A hoop coop for growouts would be nice, but I'm not holding out hope as it's a pretty major project and I am going to have quite the busy summer even without chickens in the equation.

I am planning on breeding BBS Ameraucanas, BBS Orpingtons, Fauvacanas, EE, OE, and salmon faverolle in 2020. This is going to be my first year breeding chickens for show/selling. I’m so excited!!

Everyone so far has such ambitious plans! I would like to redo the netting I have over the run, it was VERY lightweight and is sagging and torn in too many places to tie it back together.
I hope to see the summer with all 6 of my hens healthy and laying but I'm not optimistic about one that will be 4 years old in May and wondering about another that will be 3 in February.

I'm planning on getting more chicks, & building a bachelor pad for extra roosters for both eating, & breeding.

I'm also going to continue my Wheaten Crele Orpington Project.

I have eggs being delivered at the end of Feb. going to fire up my incubator, LO, BA,SS, partridge rock, welsummer and olive eggers.24 eggs total. My incubator holds 48, so I may gather more, BCM is the eggs I am hoping for. I may find some local, or order some more. Maybe my little rooster chicks will breed with my hens by then, they are RIR. NOt my choice breed, but if they are 1/2 RIR it will not matter as much. The roosters will be 6 months by then.

So cool to hear everyone's plans, what a great thread! We are going to order 6 Australorp pullet chicks, 6 Australorp cockerel pullets and one BJG cockerel. With BYC's help I have finally determined that Elvis, our first rooster 10 years ago, was probably a BJG and I'd like to try another one. We don't want to do straight runs because we really want to try to end up with 6 cockerels for the freezer and six brown egg-laying pullets. Will be ordering for mid-March delivery.

Sorry I haven't gotten around to replying individually to everyone, I've been super busy!

It seems like most people have plans for breeding and taking on new breeds which is great

Also, for those of you making more coop space...congratulations! That means more chickens!
