Homicide is a crime. Self defense is a valid defense to the crime of homicide but it does not stop if from being a crime. It can be enough to keep you from being charged in some cases but claiming self defense does not mean that you cant or should not be charged with homicide ever.

To get a conviction it (should) takes proof without a reasonable doubt. It does not, nor should it take that to be charged.

How do you see him as the aggressor he called the police and just tried to keep track of Martin. There's no evidence that he tried to detain Martin, following someone is not aggression.

Do the police call the D.A. every time they arrest someone ?

So if someone attacks you on the street and you shoot them with a legal gun that you are allowed to carry then you should be arrested and have to prove self defense ?

Now can they pick a jury ? His lawyer should ask each prospective jury person if he could kind Zimmerman innocent if they thought it would cause a riot or threaten them and there family. Would any of you serve on that jury ?

Yes however on the 911 tapes the Operator clearly stated the police were contacted and to not continue pursuit.

With this much Media coverage I defiantly believe this case will be aired on TV. As for when it will start with this much pressure I would assume it would be quite soon.

Yes, even though the police said to not follow.. that does NOT give the other person the legal right to physically attack Zimmerman either.
We'll see what comes out in court..

Probably, CNN streamed the bond hearing live today. Lots of new info came out in it.


Dont expect the trial will be soon.

hey you!!! The 911 tape said "are you following him?" Yes "Maybe that is not a good idea." Hard to translate that into stay in your car/truck/vehicle. My own personal opinion is that Florida law is flawed at best. If that law had not been in place, there is no way this man could have shot the child without being arrested immediately. I still will wait to see the evidence for myself before passing any opinion.

Why that law was in place at all is a mystery to me. It seems like a license to kill.
