So I got my second pullet egg in three days! We ate them as a family today. They tasted great. How long in your experiences have you observed that the laying becomes more consistent and the egg size increases?

Woo Hoo! Guess who got their first egg today! We think it came from this hen! It has been a long 5 mos! I could not believe we were so excited! It's a perfect small little guy! Here's to hoping the other 6 girls start laying soon! Good times!

I put a good bead of clear caulk around the outside and at the screw and bolt holes. No leaks!

I used skillet lids and crockpot lids from the ARC for windows in mine! As funny as it sounds they work really well. Get the biggest ones that will work and if you need help with attaching them I can help ya! You can see better pics on my profile of the windows

Hey does anyone know of any New Zealand rabbit breeders near the Co Springs? I used to buy from a guy just east of town.

It would fun to get together and maybe even set up a little network for checking on each others chickens when we go out of town.

We had some crazy flooding and hail. Just planted my hay bale raised garden yesterday and now the hail. The seedlings look OK, maybe. We are in the SE Springs area.

I am thinking of ordering some Freedom Ranger Chickens straight run meat chickens and wanted to see if anyone wanted in on some. If you are interested let me know. I was thinking of getting some around the beginning of June. I am around Colorado Springs.

They are Rhode Island Reds. I gave him(the rooster) to a delightful women in Peyton with a bunch of chickens and a couple turkeys. We picked up a Buff Orpington and a Auracana about the same age. I am so excited about having these little guys in our household. The kids are having a blast...

Thanks! We have a good door on the coop and make sure they are inside every night. How much ventilation do you have in you coop? We live in Colo Springs.
