I think with my very first hatch I let them go a week and then wouldn't even give up - moved them under the brooder light when I eventually unplugged the bator!

With my last hatch I left some for 3-5 more days before giving up, no ill explosions. They never pipped and I didn't have the heart to eggtopsy... I ended up just throwing them out.

Ugh! I've got 6 hatched... 3 OEs 1 FBCM, 2 EEs... Waiting on the last 3... My 2nd FBCM has pipped and is taking forever. And 2 OEs that haven't yet pipped! Hoping the FBCM makes it's appearance before the other 2 pip so I can quickly swoop in and transfer the 6 early hatchers to their brooder...

Good idea! Luckily I had unscrewed the tops before that happened... Evidently the heat from using the oven caused the fermentation to go crazy!

Oh and I made fermented chicken feed for the first time, fail! LOL or I guess success since it is indeed fermenting! Haha

Bleh... I have my 5 week old chicks in a makeshift brooder dog crate in the garage and everything in the vicinity is covered in about one inch layer of dust. I clean it all up and then less than a day later there it is again. Tips? Do y'all think switching to hay would be a solution, right now...

I think I have 10/14 developing... 4 I could tell are yolkers... And the others I can either see veining, movement, or absolutely nothing but a stable looking aircell. If you can believe it, my OEs are harder to see through than my BCMs!
