The verbal descriptions are good, but hard to follow without photos.

Next time you raise ducklings please take photos for all these stages and add them. When you do I'll raise my rating. :)

(edit)

A very nice introduction to the major white breeds. Good info for anyone new to chicken breeds and thinking about their choices.

Useful article for anyone in need of a small, cheap coop.

Thanks for the review. I wanted to share my experience because with money tight now days and people opting for those prefab cracker boxes I thought this showed you can build a substantial coop for a little of nothing and definitely for less that those prefabs.

Nice build! Looks quite useful for anyone retrofitting a coop and who has reason to not want to build-in the poop boards.

Needs sources and references to demonstrate the scientific backing for the treatment.

Looks like a nice, big, well-ventilated coop.

The article would be more useful if you had dimensions, a sketch plan, and maybe some more information about your climate and why you built it the way it is. :)

Some discussion of the cause and prevention of flystrike would be helpful.

I understand why, in the midst of the treatment, you wouldn't necessarily be thinking of taking pictures, but they would also have been a helpful guide -- especially if they showed progress in the reduction of the maggots.

Why is the screwworm spray applied over the Blu-Kote instead of under it?

I sincerely hope that you never again have the opportunity to take the missing photos. :)

I wish i had some pictures before the treatment but my head was spinning a little bit at first! I really dont think the screw worm spray before the Blu-Kote matters. Thank you for reading and I hope it helps!

I don't have free rangers but I do occasionally get escapees so this is useful information to have on hand.

Nice and spacious! A shed conversion seems like exactly the right thing for your situation.

Good run too.

Clever to put it inside and existing structure.

Since quail are less common than chickens it would have been helpful to explain what makes this coop particularly well suited to quail.

Wow, what a structure!

It's neat how you designed it as a duplex and how you incorporated the little coops inside. Needs plans though.

Nice work for what looks like a really practical coop.

I sympathize about the issues trying to use Sketch-Up and wish you'd included your hand-drawn plans in the article.

Unique, but a great deal was left unexplained. First of all, why a coop in a tree?

Dimensions and more detailed photos inside and out would be useful.

Cute coop and run, but the article is lacking details about dimensions, interior layout, etc.
