Great list for us parrot owners. The only thing is that your last topic heading, "How do I get my parrot to eat vegetables," never answers that question. I'd love to know. Mine will eat baked and sweet potatoes though. I've had them over 20 years so forget them eating anything they don't want to. They're macaws.

This article isn't complete, I didn't mean to post it so I still need to continue that section. Parrots can definitely learn to eat new foods at any age, it just takes patience & trying various methods! I'm more than happy to respond to you again here when I finish that part :)

I was looking for your aggressive chick article and found this. Ironically, there were two simultaneous posts, one needing help with a bully chick, and another needing help with a hen being bullied. Both of your articles got pasted to each respectively. Thank you!

I suppose in a pinch or for temporary housing, but that wouldn't last a week here. The almost daily wind would destroy it, or the varments would get what we had inside. 1/2" HWC is a must for something like this. More instruction/details about building it would be helpful too.

It looks nice and roomy and a good tip about the height being shortened if anyone builds one.

Step-by-step instructions, measurements, and/or material list, would be helpful.

This is a cute little brooder for ducklings! The only change I would make is to have something better for their feet. The HWC is a good idea for drainage, but them walking on it for weeks could possibly cause bumblefoot.

An opinion on raising chickens or geese for someone starting out raising poultry.

I'd have liked to see some links to learn more about geese and this type in particular as I'd never heard of them. They are pretty though!

I will be writing a more in depth article or just improve this one.
That is a good idea, thank you.

A very informative article about BSF!

I would like to see links/credits to where you did research, as well as links to perhaps further reading should anyone wish to. Very good job!

This is good, but I think it's a good start.

The vast majority of new members want to learn where to find the info they came here in the first place for. It would be better to explain all of the Tabs at the top, starting with Forums. That's where most wind up looking for where they can post about their poultry. You could explain how there's a forum for almost every animal there is, plus other places in the Forums like the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures, or Predators and Pests, etc.

After that, I'd point out Articles, mostly the Learning Center and Coops, which are the two most helpful things in BYC.

I think you're onto a great start, but it just seems like it's not geared to include brand-new members, as they aren't being shown what is most likely important to them to find.

Unless you wanted to make a "Starting Out in BYC" one, and an "Advanced BYC" one. What you have here would be for the Advanced one.

It's really good what you have going here, so if you choose to improve it with more stuff, let me know, and I'll change my rating. :)

Beautiful coop!

A materials list and measurements on the blueprint would help others build this.

Nice coop. Not a lot of build photos, but some explanation of how it was built.

Exterior nests usually don't work well in areas that have harsh winters unless you collect eggs every hour or utilize a heating method.

Good documentation via photos, but more explanation of what you were doing each stage to build it would help others.

Nice and simple, but needs a little more explanation of how you built it.

The automatic door is a nice addition and could be an article of its own.

Great journey from a kid's playhouse to a coop and run. Sorry about the predators but quickly covering open holes with hardware cloth prevented further losses. Lots of great pictures.

Nice coop! Good explanation of what was done. Not much for measurements of boards to help build the frame, so a blueprint and/or materials list would help. Great pictures!

Good job remodeling an old shed and making it functional for a coop!

I'd use 1/2" hardware cloth on the pen though as predators can get through what's on there.

A few more details would have been helpful as a lot of folks remodel sheds and ask how to go about it.
