Good article giving information on a variety of choices for keeping the coop as warm as possible through winter.

Humidity in the winter is a huge problem for some and it can lead to frostbite right in the coop. We use horse bedding pellets and I didn't see those mentioned. 100% compressed pine keeps the coop very dry and it insulates the floor.

Very informative! I don't show my birds but will share when I see someone who is asking for advice.

You mention cutting/trimming the beak and toenails. It would be helpful to have a little more information on each or a link to someone else's article or even on the web that discusses how to do each.

Thank you for this thorough article about cross-beak/scissor beak. Very informative and the pictures help so much too.

We have a member needing advice so I shared this with her.

I've heard of lash eggs but never seen one myself. I found this very well-written, easy to understand, and thorough. I will share this article with anyone I see having questions about it.

One picture and a paragraph doesn't help anyone. It looks like it's a great coop though!

This is another BYC member that posted their coop over a decade ago, then never came back again.

This needs minimally one picture of this coop. Other pictures would help explain what you did.

It appears this user was on BYC for one day, posted this, and never came back again.

That sure is little but functional for a tractor type coop for just a couple of birds.

Very nice and sturdy coop. This should last many years!

It would be helpful to explain or give directions and list materials used so someone could try build something similar. Good pictures though!

It's a nice set up but this needs more for folks to be able to build the coop. There are good ideas for expansion of the run to another run, but nothing explains how anything was accomplished.

When we read an article on how to build a coop, we shouldn't need to email the author.

It's also deceptive saying how many birds will fit as the square footage you've given would suffice for no more than 8 chickens.

Sure let's us know a coop can be elegant as well as functional.

No instructions to help us build one, but at least the inspiration is there for someone.

Adorable that you added your Scottish Terrier in with the chicks jumping on him. ❤️

Very nice dual duck/chicken coop and run.

Hog wire isn't really going to keep much out but hardware cloth would be pretty pricey for that large of an area. Other than that, I really like it! Nice job!

Nice coop, run, and pictures.

To help someone build it, we'd need a materials list and some instructions along the way.

A very cute little coop and cool YouTube.

It's too small for us, too, but it would work great for a grow-out coop.

This would be better if you'd put the measurements in of the lumber you used so someone could get the gist of the size of yours so they could duplicate or adjust from there.

It's a beautiful coop, but pictures of the inside of it would be nice to see, and a step-by-step explanation of how you converted this into such a gorgeous-looking coop would be helpful. It's only one picture zoomed in on. What it was before you made this would also be nice to see.

Nice job converting this to a coop. Not much in the way of explaining what was done to convert it though, but it's a cute little coop!
