This is a nifty little coop for folks that just want a few chickens. I like the door to get eggs! It could use more instructions on how to build one similar.

Another consideration is colder states having to lock chickens up in there sometimes for days or even weeks, so don't skimp. Good article explaining how to plan ahead!

Great article full of ideas, but for #5, there are other methods of heating a coop or providing a little heat for chickens, not just heat lamps. I would expand that part to put some of the other alternatives in there, ie. oil-filled radiant heaters, sweeter heaters, cozy coop heaters, etc.

I really like this article especially for new folks that don't know what to do for a brooder. I liked your links to toys and explanation of grit. This is very informative.

Love this! I've never had mites albeit SLM but it's all due to bi-weekly sprinkling of diatomaceous earth. I hate that a few people fall for the lies about it and parrot them. Speaking of parrots, I have two and for 20 years I've used it in their cages too. Thanks for the great article!

I loved reading about you and your pigeons. I have often considered raising those or quail but you make me lean to the pigeons, although it seems more losses come from them. Awesome pictures! Thank you!

I hope I never need to crop feed either my macaws nor my chickens but this is very informative on how to do so. Another picture or two of actually doing it would be helpful.

That's a great idea! I may resort to one of those for a growout coop sometime but glad to see you made it work for a coop for you.

Cool coop, but would be nice if readers could know how to build this themselves, plus, how did it work out for you?

A very unique coop! If anyone was going to build it though, they would need some instructions of how you did it!

Very nice coop! It would be nice to have shown the conversion process and building of the coop within. A lot of folks remodel sheds would like ideas of how to do it.
