This would be useful to have but to make one we need measurements of it and perhaps a starting blueprint or plans.

This needs so much more to help make it useful to others who want to build something like yours. I love the pictures but we need to see the inside too.

I loved reading this. So many great ideas and resolutions to issues, some foreseen and some not. I love the maze made with lawn chairs as an idea for clutter for an otherwise boring run too. Wonderful pictures!

Very useful article as even though we caution people against buying prefabs, this particular coop isn't bad and many want to add runs to them. Great pictures and explanation!

This is quite interesting but wish there were some more "facts" as there must be a lot more.

I think we get a different variation of them here in the North. This was a very interesting read and educational.

Great article. Good to know.

I wrote a similar one about a different product so we both proved dunking eggs doesn't kill them. :)

Your links are broken though. Please fix them if you can so we can see. Tag me and I'll change my rating. Thank you!

I have turned down requests to ship live chicks/chickens as I'm too afraid of it. After reading your article, I'd actually try it. The Apple AirTags is an ingenious idea for tracking! Excellent explanations and pictures!

I agree with the other commenters that this needs some explanations and photos of the interior. Your pictures are great, but it's not helping any of us backyard carpenters know what we'd need to build this, or how to do it.
A very thorough explanation of how to build a coop from the dirt on up!

Monica, this is great but what I would do is copy/paste your Page 2 to Page 1 as it's all about the same coop. Some folks like one rater never will check the next page. Keep Page 2, 3, and so on for if you build something different, like I have a brooder on Page 2, and my chickens and some DYI feeders on Page 3, I think.

Tag me also and I'll come back and rerate it better when you get 'er done!

Great visuals, photos, and explanations so anyone could build this.

This article is a great example/standard for others writing how to build something. Good job!

Links are broken. I was shocked not to see Silkie or a couple other breeds I know are good for children on there. I think this list should be about twice the length, as in 10 breeds, not just 5.

If you had owned these breeds and are speaking on your own personal preference, I would state it that way rather than it being an informative article.

It's a cute coop, and nice before and after pictures, but more info on how you repurposed it would be helpful.

Great ideas!

It'd be nice to see the run and where/how you attached it. For the size of coop, that's probably one or two too many nest boxes, so if you ever need more room for another roost or ladder or something, you could pull a couple out.

This is a great idea and we've done similar, but on a larger scale for our temp breeding pens.

Some of your pictures don't show up. It would be nice to see the finished product and the inside.
