This is an ingenious idea! We use verticle nipples in our brooder but this would work better than bottles!

You did a great job! That is a nice brooder! I think I'd add "brooder" somewhere to your title though, and explain a bit more so someone looking to build it, or do your water system would know what it takes and how to do it. It's awesome though!

What a great idea! I'm thinking something like this would be great for a grow-out pen or even for a breeding pen. The bonus is, they'd actually be cute to look at instead of an eye-sore some of us wind up having.

So well written. I was glued to my seat while reading the whole thing. I loved the gray chicken with your ducks part in the end. ❤️

We really need some articles on remodeling metal sheds. Could you update this with what you did? It's a great topic, just needs some work and pictures!

Looks like you made a great brooder. I would try to put pictures demonstrating your explanations to make it easier for those with little carpentry skills to be able to build this. Also, a complete materials list would help too.

I love the idea, and the last items on your materials list. I think a couple of more pictures and some background of how you like it, how long does it last, pros, cons, etc. would be helpful. Great job!

I ship hatching eggs and hatch a lot myself. You cover all of the bases and this is helpful for someone hatching shipped eggs their first couple of times.

As others mentioned, try get a couple pictures of what you're looking for when candling upon unpacking those eggs. Good job!

Coming from someone who just had hubby build her one, I do like this one, but it needs a little more info on building it as not everyone can take a parts list and just put it together. Also, like NFC said, cleaning it's going to be rough. Could you make the back of it be on hinges?

I've looked at a ton of DYI cabinet incubators and this is by far the best illustrated and explained one ever. I did note a couple of links didn't work anymore but a Google search found, for instance, the flashlight for the egg candler. I'm in the market for one!

Excellent idea and good job explaining how to do it ourselves. Could we not sit this up higher though, like on a brick or two so they get it closer to eye level for them? I don't see why not except that hefty bottle of water might be a struggle even more. Also, I'd clean up the typos and grammar but otherwise, nice job!!!
Excellent explanation for those new or even experienced with ducks. I don't have any now, but sometimes here I see folks asking questions and now not only do I know a little bit more than I did, I can just give them a link to this and it will help them. Thank you!
Good info. You could improve this so much by making a link for each breed to a website or thread here that explains the breed, and also having a picture of one of each breed as well.

I love the photos and the idea, but it's not helping me build one. Could you do step by step and tell us everything we have to buy and where to get it for those of us who would like to try make one?
