Yes, sorry I wasn’t clear. I have a small incubator which fits into the smaller compartment. Once hatched & dry the chicks go under the brooder and then the small compartment is used to hold the chicks while the other side is being cleaned. The bulb is just extra for cold days. When we built the box we didn’t know we didn’t need all that heat but it does come in handy on colder days.
