Excellent, practical article. I am like you with daily cleanliness of coops and runs, but know I can have to deal with this at any point. Thank you for more pointers about what to look for. I use a safe insecticidal spray around their vents as well
I really like this article. I think I get ahead of the mice, only to find a few days later I have not. I thought I knew all of the deterrents but learned I have not and will be using some of the suggestions in this article. Thank you for the research and writing.
Well-written must have for summer. Good job. I would like to share that I have switched from tarps or shade cloth to aluminet shade cloth. I use 85%. I find that while regular shade cloth blocks UV, it creates heat under it. Aluminet reflects.
Thank you for checking out and reviewing the article! Glad you liked it. I try to spread what little I know about the landrace, in hopes that we won't lose it, like we have a lot of other great breeds and landraces
This is a great article. I hatched 3-fertile eggs with a broody hen that were purchased. I never stopped to think about what diseases I could have brought in from the outside of the eggs. But now I will. Thank you.
Thank you for the article. It is clear and concise. I have an animal dremel like one - my grandson and I tried to take some of my handicapped hen's upper beak down and it feels like we got no where.
These battery operated callus removers grind well, especially when new. They are quiet and quickly remove beak material, I'd give one if these a try! :)
As a rooster advocate, I find this the best article I have ever read. Thank you @Shadrach for the time and effort you put into observing and writing the facts, but facts with love for roosters.
