Wonderful story of an old forgotten dog-house that became a second chance as a beautiful chicken coop.
Nice job done on the - now - chicken-house and a beautiful run.

Very good documentation of a chicken's hard molt. In fact one of the hardest molts i have seen ever! Many photos documenting every development from the very beginning to the end. Excellent!

I suggest a disclaimer in the title, even though no blood is splattering around, some of the pictures are quite graphic, especially with the textual explanation.

But: Five stars for the pictures alone! - How were those obtained?
Not many words necessary, those pictures speak for themselves.
Short and precisely written article, even an idiot can follow these instructions! ;)
Added bonuses:
  • Calorie count
  • Potential allergens are listed
Need to try it!
  • Love

Holy Moly Guacamole! - What a story! You are right, any power tool is dangerous, but [Circular] saws in particular. I hope you have a good healthcare provider that paid most of the bills!

I love this coop, all that open space - you can do that in southern Alabama - your chickens must be very happy with their home.

Plenty of pictures and good explanations and great recycling ideas. Excellent!

Get well soon!

A very comprehensive article about common egg quality issues! - I say issues, not problems, because most of the eggs with issues are still edible and should not be discarded. I don't mind if my scrambled egg came oud of a shell with some additional calcium pimples, for example.
This article applies also to ducks and their eggs, have seen many of the issues with my laying ducks in the past too.

Great idea to use an Aquarium heater as a heat source. They are watertight by default and way less expensive. I just need to adapt this idea for my ducks as they won't use nipple waterers.

You could train them to drink from Horizontal Nipples, but it wouldn't take care of rinsing nares.

Very good comparison between store and farm eggs with supporting pictures. Eggcelent explanation of the store's labels on the egg cartons and what they actually mean for a chicken.

Very good instructions with a plush stand-in and fake blood.
Glad that the stand-in survived…

Thanks! My son would have been upset if his peep bunny didn't make it through the demonstration.

Excellent advice for every kind of poultry! I crush the shells of our Duck's eggs and mix them with the crushed Oyster shells, so i don't have to buy those every month.

Would have loved to see this brooder in action, but it seems this article was abandoned in the middle of writing.

Well written article about an ingenious solution! Many supporting pictures and fun to read.
I bet every raccoon will trigger that window only one time and won't come back after receiving a bloody nose.
