Update: momma still sleeps in the egg box with her babies. She still puffs up and tries to cover them, but they are huge. They are so big, that it takes me a minute to figure out who momma is in the pile. I have been moving them up to roost next to the cozy coop heater the past couple of nights...

My two juvenille orpingtons used to fly up into my arms when I was walking in the yard...I am not a tall lady though haha

To clarify, I also should say that I appreciate posts with prayers and blessings as I take it as a wonderful kindness. I just get uneasy when religious comments seem judgemental or seem to imply that everyone should/does have the same beliefs.
