    I didn't think to check her gizzard. I will have to remember that if there is a next time. Stupid question but do chickens on fermented feed need grit. I feel like I should already know the answer to this!

    This is the bird we culled because of crop issues. Her crop was as big as both of my fists! on top of that she was very skinny. Don't mind the horrible butchering job. This is the first time my husband and I have butchered by ourselves. We definitely made a mess of it.

    I am culling a hen today for a serious crop issue. I am noticing in my research that a lot of the pictures of crop issues appear to be cinnamon queens/golden comets. Has anyone found this to be true in their flocks? Are they genetically disposed to crop issues? Just curious what everyone else...
