Thanks.. the little one is so cute he peeps and makes this peep peep peep sound.. hubby and I have been getting him some crikets and meal worms at the pet stone and he is flipping out over them hopefully he will be tamer then his parents.. his parents are pretty mellow but don't come up to eat...
So while all the rest of the duck eggs where duds and not even fertile I was wondering if They would ever mate.. the boy has pretty much just been friends with my female... he is two years old and has been paired up with this female for a year and nothing.... they swim, nap, cuddle and groom...

What are the main diffrences of Serma and japanese hens? I know Seramas come from some of the same breeding stock as the japanese. I have a few black Seramas hens with white on their necks and they look quite a bit like japanese hens. I'm having a hard time on-line...

Only reason I ask about egg color is with most breeds gaining approval by the APA, they place egg color high on their list I was told.. you have white egg layers and brown and so on.... ture you don't get judged on egg color in shows but I thought it was important.

I got three pure yellow chicks.. sense the breeder I got them from has a lot of white with black tails I'm going to guess they will get dirty or black tails as they grow....and not stay...
