She is in a separate container. No she is not picking at it. She hasn't the energy to do close to that . As far as I know she is not eating or drinking on her own.

The hole under her wing is about 1/2" long X 1/8" wide...almost like a wear spot or it rotted away....nasty.

Whatever way you decide to insulate, you must cover it with some sort of plywood so that the chickens can't get to the insulation and peck at it. You can use 1/4" luan or any sort of plywood or paneling perhaps but it really should be covered.

One of my chickens started laying 4 days ago. The first one looked almost round but the ones after that look normal but a tad small. Do they get bigger? It is a full size chicken.
