My Silver Campine rooster is a great rooster to his girls. He will protect them against anything and does not harm them while mating. And he only crows a few times a day!

I just got this book for my birthday and it is great! There is lots of info on everything about chickens. It also has many colorful illustrations. I would definitely recommend this book.
I love this breed! In just 6 to 8 weeks they are ready to be processed and eaten. They are very calm and easy to care for. Just watch out for legs problems.
I have been around Golden Laced Wyandottes and they were very loud and skittish but now I have a Slash Blue Laced Red Wyandotte who is the total opposite. Though she is the slowest to mature, she is very calm, quiet, and beautiful.
This is a very calm, pretty, and quiet breed. They are not the BEST layers but mine would lay 3-4 eggs a week. They are not great production birds but they make great hens for backyard flocks!
I love the Barred Plymouth Rock!!! They are very calm and friendly!!! They also are great layers. Mine lay 5-6 big, brown eggs a week! I highly recommend this breed!
