Love it, some cons.
Pros: Holds lots of feed, efficient, durable, easy for chickens to eat out of, mine barely rusted at all even though it's very old + was used before, hangs, easy to fill.
Cons: The two bars that cross do slide out and make the feeder fall apart if you have pushy/nosy chickens, birds also can easily push the food back out if they decide they don't like it, you have to shake the feeder so the food fills the tray.
I really like this, works well.
Pros: Efficient, easy to fill, works.
Cons: Have to be careful once your chicks grow and their heads get bigger, will rust eventually, fairly easy to bend/break, sawdust and poop gets in easily.
Once of the better options for chick feeders, does have some cons though.
Can be bullies, average layers producing pretty eggs.
Pros: Somewhat friendly, smart, pretty colored eggs, dual purpose.
Cons: Can be bullies/mean/obnoxious, doesn't love being handled.
Would recommend if you want some cool eggs, and are interested in some interactions but not a super attention seeking breed.
Convenient, but unhealthy
Pros: Holds lots of water.
Cons: Rusts quickly, water get rusty, have to clean very often.
This is good before it rusts, but after it does, it's horrible. :(
Also, since it holds so much water, your chickens are drinking old water since you don't have to refill it often.
Pros: Cheap.
Cons: This feed might have been good once, but not anymore, at least not for my flock. It barely kept them alive, let alone healthy enough to lay.
Chickens were not healthy or laying eggs when fed this food.
Pros: Sweet, good for families, love people, calm and cuddly, good egg layers.
Cons: Sometimes get bullied. Also prone to get overweight easily.
Very sweet and gentle.
Great backyard + family chickens
Pros: Friendly, calm, good layers, often go broody you want chicks, funny, not super loud.
Cons: No big ones.
Have owned Australops for 5 years and love them.
Pros: Cuddly, great backyard chicken, funny, good pet, does well with kids, good layer, is OK with or without free ranging time, winter hardy
Cons: Gets bullied, non heat hardy, can get overweight easily.
These birds are the funniest, silliest, most enjoyable chickens I have ever owned. The ones I've had have been pretty good egg layers, even in the winter.
