    Too late to do broilers outside this year?

    sounds like you will be fine with the weather. try to keep them dry. i have a batch of 25 CX outside in a tractor, they are now 6 weeks old, an we have got down in the low 20 at night here they are ok, but not growing as fast, because of the cold i think? hope that helps.

    i have six freedom rangers, 1 has always laid 2-3 yoke eggs and the rest lay small eggs they are 6 month old now.

    Balut production

    metzer farm sells a white layer duck that is great for balut prodution. its a hybrid like there golden 300 its a great layer they claim. i have kaki campbels they are good layers of white eggs also.

    1st egg from Freedom Ranger hen

    I held back 8 freedom rangers hens to cross with a red broiler they have been laying for a while now [very small brown eggs] hope to hatch out some just to see what i get! lol:D

    mine have started to lay,very small eggs. i built nest boxes but they dont use them. The fun thing is my son thinks it easter ever day he goes out an hunts the eggs!!!

    story guide book says feed coversion for toms poundsfeed/pounds gain @ 10 weeks of age 1.77 live weight @13.97 @ 16 weeks of age 2.23 live weight @29.14 @ 20 weeks of age 2.59 live wieght @38.84 @ 22 weeks of age 2.78 live weight @43.27 hope it helps

    Vacuum Sealing whole birds?

    wife use 11" vacuum bag for the smaller birds and cuts up the larger one. Love the vacuum packer.

    Cornish X- 2.5 wks old- Legs stopped working

    i use a vitamin mix in the water for the first two weeks or so it works great. one time i did not use it and they cx came up lame. it sounds like the same stuff Jaku uses!
