31 of 50 hatched, don't see anymore pips. This has been alot better hatch than my first try.

Got popcorn going off, 6 out this morning checked after we ate breakfast and there is now 18-20 chicks swarming around the hatcher.

Morning update... 6 out, I could see 3 pips, that leaves 41

I don't have any yet.

I did something similar to this for my brooder cage. I do suggest lowering the pipe so that it only allowes about an 1/8th of an inch for food so spread out. I have done this and have almost zero waste.

I got them because I wanted to get more self sufficient with the food I am feeding my family. We just bought a home with 4 acres and I hope to alot more. When I was a kid, my father dabbled in quail, chickens, rabbis, etc... so I learned a little growing up. Quail seemed to be a good learning...

Just hitting the 6 week mark and collected our first two eggs this morning while feeding our cots.
