My duck Lola is pretty sick. I don't know exactly what's wrong with her, but she's been lethargic for about 2 days. As of last night she wouldn't even walk at all. She refuses to be "force" fed like the vet told me to do. And as of this morning she won't drink water either. I am certain she...
Yes of course food and water 24/7. I'm gentle so he/she isn't getting squished. They are plenty warm, seemingly healthy and happy. Only 1 of my 2 does this. I'm new to ducks so just concerned about whether it's normal or something to be worried about.
One of my 2 Pekin ducks, probly 3-4 weeks old, vomits up watery slimy clear substance sometimes when I pick him up. He will vomit like 3-4 times while I'm holding him at first. He doesn't seem all that scared.... And today he was doing it so much he seemed like he was almost choking on it or...
I hope its just a small problem anyway. I have 2 baby chickens (probly like 2 weeks old, maybe less) and one of them had crud stuck to its behind. I soaked it off and its all clean now. But is this something I should be worried about?
What breed are these 2? And is there a way to tell gender? Very new to chickens. Just got them yesterday, and first time owner. This site is awesome with info!
How can you tell ducklings apart? I am picking up 2 Pekin ducklings today from a farm store (once my home and yard are ready), and I'd like to know if there is a certain way to tell them apart. I'd like 2 females.
I will be getting 2 Pekin ducklings today. I'm a first-time duck owner and looking for as much advice as possible. I've always wanted ducks so I'm very excited to get started. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right so they are healthy and happy.
The ducks available to me here are Pekin ducks. And after doing some more research I think they will be a good fit. Sounds like they are messy, but entertaining and produce a good number of eggs. :)
I have a mastiff/blue heeler mix named Penny. I'd have more dogs if I could, but she's more than enough at the moment, especially adding some birds to our backyard, :)
