Little Jesse was getting picked on by his brother and the hen I placed them with so I let him bunk with my 5 young large breed chicks about 10 days ago.
He feeds them.
Today I let 9 one week old large breed chicks run loose with Jesse & his crew.
Jesse and the month old birds were very loving...
They've been having trouble hatching so I don't sell them anymore.
I'm only offering eggs for my Rainbow Rock and Florida breeds now.
I just hatched the first 5 chicks from my third generation one week ago.
Huge birds but some of those Serama girls push them around when I let them mingle.
As much as I and others love the Tribbles, I feel like I am forced to diversify.
I am going to the other extreme now and developing a large breed hybrid.
These are Rainbow Rock, which are 50% Dixie Rainbow & 50% Barred Rock.
I'm getting ready to hatch my first batch of Rainbow 75, which are 75%...
Sorry, no. Nobody is laying now and I also bought an Incuview incubator, so I will be trying to hatch them myself, when they start laying again.
This year's Tribbles are so tiny, I think they may be going extinct?
