I have a year and half old runner who had a shell hanging from her this pm I waited to see if nature would take course and nothing 2 hrs later so I slowly pulled from her and her privates seemed to be on the outside of her if this makes sense I set her down and she began to have pulses her whole...

It's supposed to get -15 tonight with wind chills and here in va it's been rough with these temps we are used to 20 maybe teens but not this cold like it hss been recently. I no ducks are cold hardy but when it gets this cold I hate seeing them fluffed up and no one wants to get up they scoot...
She's better I think stiff this a.m. The winds gone so that's a plus nobody wanted to come out today except Butter who was highly upset when she climbed her pool steps to realize she's only going to ice skate today why she would attempt to swim in freezing weather is beyond me.
I took my feed and water up 11 last nite I think no food was fine but taking the water may have been bad idea they seemed really cold this morn and have been drinking all day but if I'd left water all nite I'd worry b/c have 2 ladies that sleep by water bucket so I was concerned about that. I...

So your taking your water away? I am considering the same just not sure felt line feed and water would help keep them warm. How long can they be without water?

Ducks do fair well in cold mine would rather sit out in snow and rain but, when play times over their ready for their run with dry shavings. My ducks seem to bed down or use their houses when it's 20-10 f or high winds they don't like wind. I believe ducks are like us they adapt to their climate...
