So, my FF isn't bubbling really (when I stir it, it does get a couple of bubbles). Also, It only smells a little like the ferment so should I add ACV or something to "jump start" it again? (Maybe I lost some of the fermented part of the feed..?)
Fabulous! Everyone probably has a chicken look a like!
We are talking about this guy and who I was thinking looked like him...The guy had dark hair on the top of his head but I think it was shaved almost bald on the sides (old time-y looking guy)
Nope not him, but once again Awesome!! I hadn't thought of old Barney...Great look on his face (Classic!) I am wanting to say it was maybe from a picture or something maybe....I hate when I can't remember lol
He has really pretty coloring!
P.S. Every time I see one of these NN I think of someone that was on tv (maybe it was tv or some other form of media) I wish I could remember the name of the man...It will probably come to me in the middle of the night or some other off the wall time.
...toasty fires, and just the shear beauty of it! If we could get a little bit of it during our "winter" I'd be ecstatic.
(Sleet, not so cool as snow..yicky)
Stay WARM!!!
P.S. I know most of you would NOT consider 30* or 40* in the winter cold but...We have THIN blood down here in FL! lol
Oh I know all about those stinky chicken rows...my family has property in North Georgia (lots of stinky chickens around that area) I think I wouldn't mind having a pig...I'll have to read up on it (Ham & eggs..Mmmmm)
Oh no worries about that for ME! I might be a "city girl" but I can completely appreciate ALL country sounds! lol I especially love the crows of roosters in the morning. (even if my neighbors don't) lol
...to have as many chickens as I please without worrying the city is gonna come knocking on my door, not to mention all the other "country" type animals/things I could have *sigh* One of these days...I'll be there!
You guys just keep on posting the pics and I'll live vicariously through you! lol
That sounds nice..I would love to have 3 or more acres for my girls and maybe a few other things lol ( I am on a much smaller plot...decent room to roam but nothing near what I would like)
So far, mine don't seem to really pay a lot of attention to my Roo when he sounds the alarm. They just stand there. No running for cover. Nothing...Is that something they will start to learn to do? (without there being a huge problem that makes them get the point of his alarm) I mean THAT is why...
OOOh...Good idea! We LOVE pickles in my house(olives too) so it won't be hard to save some juice for eggs! I can do a little experimenting with flavors! YUM!!! Can't wait to try it!
