Is it a pip if the shell isn't competely broken through were it's been pecked? I have one egg that has a small raised spot where the chick has at least pecked it. This is my first hatch, so sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks, YC

The shell is not thick but the membrane under it. When we eat the eggs we have a harder time cracking them open then a store bought egg. Is this normal and will the chicks be able to zip through?
