Hey
I really need some advice please.
I've had my flock now for a good few years in steadily increasing numbers. I started with 8 and now have over 40.
Usually I clean my coops (I have 5) every single day. I pick out the poop and add new bedding as needed. My flock is a much loved bunch...
Hey there :)
I have a little 6 week old porcelain sablepoot who is one of a hatch of 12.
She has a deformed foot and I think nerve damage. She doesn't seem to have any feeling in her foot and the knee is at the wrong angle. I can't be certain it wasn't a slip but we use the correct flooring...
Heya
I,ve hatched my 1st lot of chicks using a brinsea incubator, all are great except one. One leg is fine, the other is ok to the knee but the ankle is not right. Initially i thought it was an injury during hatching, then i thought maybe riboflavin so she had drops.
She is now 3 weeks old...

I've had a very successful hatch for my first time with an incubator and got 12/12 hatch.

He has remained in the incubator and I have given him sugar water on...

It's all my fault :(
I was slow to move my silkie roo "blizzard" to be with my 'bigger girls' and I think he mounted Mabel who is a bantam black orp and maybe she fell or twisted but I found her laid in the mud unable to get up.
I've bathed her, blown dry her, and she is now sat in my cat...

My little sablepoot roo had scaley leg when I bought him.
I bought a scaley leg product by nettex and followed the directions and for a time they looked much better, the deposits went and all looked like it was going in the right direction.
Periodically I check him and give his legs a...

I have an 8 week old flock of 12 mixed pure breed bantams raised by 2 lovely banty orpingtons.

At what point do I have to...
I have two broodies both bantam orpingtons (Ginger and Mabel) who have 12 chicks at just over 3 weeks. All the chicks are doing very well.

When I bought my 3 sablepoots it was clear flipflop was in a bad way. Me being me I decided to take her anyway thinking her best chance was with us.
Initial examination showed badly pecked feet and neck and an extremely swollen face and eye.
We isolated her and used antiseptic...
