    temps in incubator

I don't have a thermometer with a probe and I was just going by the inside the bator temps. It has been between 97 and 101 in my bator. Im thinking it may be too low still. I candled on day 5 and saw no veins. I just turned it up to where it is between 100 and 104 but I am afraid I am too late...

    pullet eggs

So who is successfully hatching pullet eggs? Are there more complications then with more established layers? I just put six eggs in my cooler bator to see what would happen. My girls just started laying last month and I'm just wondering if this may be too soon to try to hatch. What are your...

    GA- wanted- any laying hens

I am looking for a 3 or 4 more hens or pullets and possibly a rooster. Not too concerned about the breed or age. Prefer the heavier brown egg layers and something under a couple of years old. But mostly I am just wanting a few more pretty pets for the yard, so I will consider anything. Let me...

    What did you do today?

I got this idea from another forum and seems pretty popular and kinda fun. Just write down what you did today, and then start again the next day and so on. Doesn't have to be exciting or anything. I'll start.... I went and tore down my dads old hunting blind so he can put up a new one...

But I had to post it. So.....why did the chicken cross the road? MOSES: And God came down from the Heavens, and He said unto the Chicken, "Thou shalt cross the road!" And the chicken crossed the road, and there was much rejoicing. AGENT MULDER: You saw it cross the road with your own eyes...

    Fence Experts Needed

If I were going to make a 4' high t-post fence, how long of t-posts would I need, how far in the ground should they go and finally how far apart would the posts need to be? I was thinking about something like a general purpose field fence or something similar. Any more info you think I might...

    Non chicken related joke

My uncle sent this to me, just had to share. The LAPD, the FBI, & the CIA are all trying to prove that they are the best at apprehending criminals. The President decides to give them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it. The CIA goes in. They place animal...

    seven dust

I read that some people on here use seven dust around their coops. What kind of seven dust? I saw 5% and 10% dust. Witch should I use? Or should I use it at all? I don't think I will actually put it on the birds, just around their pen to try and get rid of some of the ants.
