    Crested chickens

    I have some chicks that are about 6 or 8 weeks old. Crests have come in nice and fluffy. The other chicks I have in with them are starting to show combs that are bright red or small and pink. Is there anyway to figure out what gender a crested chicken is?

    New Home Incubator...

    Eggs were shipped to me accidentially, so we ended up building a really fast incubator with a cooler, a fan, light bulb etc. We just haid our furnace replaced and it came with a new programmable thermostat, so we used the old one as the thermostat for the light. It only goes up to 99 degrees...
