After all of the years that I've had pullets start laying, I've never seen this happen before. My black OE was in a nest box..I was so excited, her first egg. She was panting pretty hard. I waited, then when I saw her out in the yard, I went back to find two! Little bantam sized eggs. And...

I have looked and looked, but I can't find something. I would like to suggest the "educator" or friend, that is underneath the avatar of folks. Not sure what's it's called. :p Example, the yellow one for friend, there are a few. Is there a link to that?

This is a 3 and a half month old that has had me wondering for a while. Got red pretty quick, last part of last month. Now, it's huge. I think I know. :( I wanted a pullet. A lot of photos, this one didn't want me around! I'm not seeing saddle feathers..there is no crow yet...

Got this baby in an order today. I can't think of what it could be..it does have the chipmunk stripes..that could be a few different breeds. Pretty sure it is not a Welsummer. Or a brown leghorn. I got some of those too, they don't have the circles around the eyes.. Thanks for any ideas!

Could the moult cause this? She has been moulting a good month now. How long do they moult? I have heard that moulting can cause the soft shelled eggs. I was lucky I guess, because up until yesterday, she was laying normal shelled eggs. Today, she looks more naked than ever! I am thinking...
