    The EE braggers thread!!!

My Daisy is the loudest most obnxious rooster ever. It's a good thing the nieghbors all around me have roosters and peafowl and even Macaws, otherwise I'm afraid there would be complaints!

    Funny chicken behavior

I have seen my EE hen Daffodil do that with our rooster. She really does it alot when they have flown on top of the little A-frame chicken tractor after a day of free ranging. He terrorizes her (She was the only hen to survive last year) and she spends most of her time trying to hide from him...

How far will free range peas roam?

Our neighbor's peafowl come visit quite regularly. Sometimes both of them, sometimes just the Peacock, on the rare occasion just the Peahen. Sometimes they spend the night. I think they know we have food and water and chickens, so they figure it is a bird friendly house. I HEAR them...

Why have a rooster? new Pg 10 video pg 13

What a wonderful story. We have a Roo, and a love hate relationship. He is very protectvie of his girls, but sees me as a threat (Well, all of us actually, except for my son). I have had numerous people tell me to eat him or get rid of him, but I just can't see doing it. I have watched him...

    The EE braggers thread!!!

I'm new to BYC, and I love this thread. I started out with what I now know are EE. I bought pulletts and ended up with 3 hens and a roo. Two of the hens got taken by predators. My kids wanted some variety, so when we bought new pullets this year, we only got one EE, 3 RIR and a sex link...

    Hi!

My husband named his Nugget. She was, unfortunately, the one that got eaten right in front of the house, in broad daylight, by the mangy coyote. (I saw it, no fur at all. My daughter said it ws a chupacabra) Although they were upset by the fact that she was taken by a predator, both my...

Bears! In Alabama! BEARS, I say!

they caught the one in Birmingham. he now gets a 30 day vacation at the zoo till they make sure he is healthy and figure out what to do with him. I once saw a dead black bear on the side of I-59 about halfway between gadsden and Birmingham. On it's back, legs straight up in the air. We get a...

    Hi!

Who would have thought that a 16 year old would have so much fun naming chickens. I wasn't going to name them after two of our first ones got eaten by critters, but when we went and picked them up, my girl just couldn't stand it. Had the named by the time we got home!

    Nothing left but feathers

I had a coyote get one of my hens. Lots of feathers at the site of the attack. The next day I saw the coyote again and when I went to where I saw it I found her wings:(. We also had a fox get another hen (forgot to secure the door, we were lucky only one got taken) and I never found a bit of...

    Hi!

Hello! I am a fairly new chicken keeper (or maybe they keep me). I have a white Amerancauna rooster named Daisy (he was supposed to be a hen), one Amerancauna hen named Daffodil, 2 Rhode Island Red pullets that I hope actually are hens (Buttercup and Blossom) One red sex link pullet (Bubbles)...
