Agreed I picked the Cream Legbars because people are more accepting of new people. I didn't like the amount of putting people down in some of the other breeds I was interested in.

This may help those who are planning to show. I don't remember if this particular resource was posted before on this site although I think I saw one similar ... by the dragonlady I think. It has several very nice pictures that show disqualifying traits as well as comparisons of good and bad...

I agree the most important things about the breed is the Auto Sexing capability and the blue eggs. They should also have a crest as that is part of the original description.

The pictures of the males I have seen have all had head spots I wonder why they don't mention it, unless it is because ideally they want the head spot to be so washed into the rest of the down that it is not reliably visible?

I agree keeping feathers and first eggshell pieces on a card with oac # next to them. Btw has anyone been looking at this on breeding blue eggs and things you can select for in them to make them easier to candle and better hatchability...

Yeah, No worries Steen thats why I suggested in town so not insulted someone stole my ducks when I had them I think they probably ate them. As to your question chickin pickin it really depends where you are located how likely it is that human predators are a worry. Some places like where I...

I don't have my own birds yet but have been trying to learn how to see the faults so here goes... Comb - seems to be fairly good with five fully serrated deep points it does seem to have a sixth partial point at the front. Head - seems to be off to me little flat looking but not crow headed...

Agreed need more genetic diversity in the breed not less if we want the breed to do well here long term, and I believe that no one wants to reduce the utility aspect of the breed for what is ultimately a minor concern sure I think more color is nice but it is really not the main reason I am...

It was not intended as such I was speaking based on what I have read across the various threads so I was trying to clarify what I had read. I do not yet have Cream Legbars and am mostly reading and offering my opinion based on what I have read. I did say I personally preferred more color. I may...

I appreciate the offer of translation help and all of the other duscussion going on about the breed. My personal leanings are to avoid going to far towards the colorless birds currently a fad in Great Britan, because fads don't last with time there is always a new fad. Thats why I agree with...

Yes it is some of what attracts people to the breed and I do not believe it will be omitted from the work being done with the breed. The SOP is just a guideline and it should be used as such maybe keeping egg and meat records would help some of us better track our breeding stock. Remember...
