Just thought I'd share :) last year when these ladies were chicks, Apollo (the dog) would run and hide when I brought them out. I think the chirping bothered him, thankfully he's gotten over it!

I posted this on the Indiana thread too. My 6 week old black bantam cochins have started to crow so I have no doubt they are roos! 1 frizzle, 1 smooth coat. I can't keep them so if you're interested, PM me:)

My bantam cochin's from @ellymayRans are getting so big!! Pretty sure they are all roos :/ but I'm holding our hope on one! The boys will need a new home in a few weeks if anyone is interested.:) 2 frizzle, 2 smooth.

Welcome Back! I'm in Westmont :) I have 3-year old girls and 4 chicks that are less than a week old. Only allowed 6 too but I figure at least one of these chicks is a roo that I can't keep.

I love that middle ones cheeks! I had no idea they had those puffy cheeks that young. So cute, although it gives her a very serious look.

Yes, Brookfield zoo has a few males and a lot of females (last summer I think I counted 10-12) not sure if they rehomed them or not. Only saw the one girl today. They let them wander, not sure where they go at night or in the winter. There are signs that say take pictures not feathers :rant...
