I'd take the male and breed it to the bearded females. See what hatches and pick the best male(s) and breed them back to their mothers again. That is what I would do with them anyway.

I think at this point no matter where you get them from, they are going to take some work to make them show quality.

Interesting. I would definitely be interested in a crested breed that went broody. I am really pleased to be getting all this information now. I think I will be looking onto getting some from Ideal in the spring as well.

Very good information here. I did not know that about the cream brabanters, I like that color too. I am so glad this thread got started before I got brabanters, I have learned a lot and that really is the whole point, whether we agree with each other or not.

Mine don't exactly look like they have Polish in them, but then I only have hens right now, but their crests go back instead of forward and the lacing on two of them is really poor. I have my doubts that they would throw a correct crest. I think you would need to start with some with correct...
