I have 2 pullets my husband picked up at the feed store, Sold as dorkings. They are mottled so I'm thinking speckled sussex? I wouldn't think jubilee orpington would be sold at a feed store. What breed are they?
I bought 7 chicks from a local breeder. They were supposed to be jubilee orpingtons. But, 3 of them are not. The breeder will not tell me what they are. At 9 weeks old, can anyone help me figure out what breed these are? The pics below are of a pullet and a cockerel i believe.
Caesar is a beautiful, large, friendly Jubilee Orpington rooster. The Jubilees are fairly rare - a recent import from England. He is not aggressive around people, takes good care of his hens, and we hate to see him go! But two roosters in a flock is one too many for our hens and our neighbors...
